I know, I have them in my posts too. For some reason they don't work in your posts. So I just disabled it - not worth the hassle. :P

Okay, that is really weird. The test post you made is working fine in the forum basket - where deleted posts go. I'm thinking that this thread is having problems. If it doesn't work in another - seperate - thread, let me know. If it does, you may need to just post new updates in a different threads for a little while. I'll contact our host.

The fact you are using dropbox may be part of the problem, but in some cases the photos work...

I've contacted our host. Please don't edit any of the posts for a little while so they can have a look. Thanks for your patience, cheesey! :)

Problem solved! It was your use of quote boxes! While with FM the format used is
Code: [Select]
[quote="Username"]
with SMF it is

Code: [Select]
[quote author=Userame link=Message#inTopic# date=BunchOfNumbers]

Only thing you need to change then is quotes.
Thanks for your cooperation during the process. If problems crop up again, please let me know! :)

REPLIES
SimMania:
K50: You've got some really cool shots there Josh :)
CoastRunner: Really nice update! A few of the street transitions between types are a little rough, though there's not much you can do about that. Altogether great use of CC :)
111222333444: Wow, Those shots are awesome
mayorm: Great update, the town looks like it is growing, although the housing style is a bit overdone. But hey those developers, can be trouble sometimes, mine always build a whole bunch of double tree hotels :P. Great work!
Towncrafter: Wow, that looks great. I love all the trees.
forthwall: The first picture and the last picture sold it. Amazing!

thank you all!

Welcome to the first "The Reader's Opinion" update!  You get to choose what happens next in the journal and the most popular decision is what goes through.

As stated before, something must be done to save the farms and the agriculture industry in Goldspire as traffic increases region-wide. The only viable way to go about this without creating any additional commute times is to build a four-lane road straight across between Goldspire and White Settlement. This will be the one and only road that goes west and plenty of connector roads from the agricultural areas will be built to prevent congestion on any particular back-road.

This would allow a higher speed limit as well as alleviate congestion on the current 2-lane road between the two towns. This unfortunately would mean the road would have to cut straight through the farmland. This has Goldspire farmers worried, and some have even been lobbying the newly formed council to disapprove the plan. Residents, on the other hand have been lobbying the council to pass the proposal. As stated before, simply going around the farms wouldn't improve the commute-times because of the extra drive further north and back south again, cause even more congestion on back roads and render fertile land to the north unusable.

Additionally a new residential village between the two towns has been proposed but hasn't made it to the voting-stages yet.

What do you think the newly-formed Goldspire council should do? You can choose between the two options or come up with your own.

I'd say go straight through the farms. The other plan doesn't sound like it would alleviate the problem. And what would be the point of that? :P

Josh,

you know I never really took the time to look this over before.
But this has just about all the elements of a good Cj really.
You have really done a fine job with this so far. And i really
encourage you to continue with the work you have started here.

Wow, thanks!

Recently the Goldspire/Whitewater Run RailLink was completed ahead of schedule. It is scheduled to open in the coming 2 weeks after inspections are completed. The rail line hits 4 towns (White Settlement isn't shown) as illustrated on the map.

That is a nice job using those barriers to separate the farms from the rest
of your development josh. You will find the farms will survive longer if
you continue to use those white highway barriers to protect them.
